What is the difference between an Ophthalmologist Optometrist Orthoptist and a Neuro Ophthalmologist?
What is an Ophthalmologist?
What is an Optometrist?
What is an Orthoptist?
What is a Neuro Ophthalmologist?

Types of Specialist you could be sent to see in Ophthalmology.

Ophthalmologist An eye surgeon who is a Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

Optometrist - A Doctor of Optometry treats eye diseases and disorders and specializes in optics and vision correction.

Orthoptist - Specializes in diagnosis and management of ocular motility, amblyopia and binocular vision disorders.

Neuro-Ophthalmologist - A Neuro-Ophthalmologist deals with visual problems, which are due to disorders of the brain.
