Hey,

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time with all of this.
I was also allergic to Acetazolamide and ended up in hospital which was horrible.

Hopefully if you're able to get an LP shunt, you'll feel much better and you won't have to bother with troublesome medications any more!

Welcome and Best of luck with the shunt!

Welcome to the group Jasmin, and I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. I know it is harder the younger you are because you want to be out doing the things your friends are doing. It's a shame that you had such a bad time with the medication but with a shunt your life could improve a great deal, so fingers crossed that your treatment plan will get better with one, rather than the difficulties you are having with the medication.

I'm sure though you are anxious about having a shunt, because it is a permanent thing, and you will have lots of questions so feel free to ask them.

Heidi hug

Hi Jasmin, and welcome!
So glad they were able to figure out your allergy. That one sounds like it could have been a real game changer!

I hope you are able to get your shunt soon. Sounds like it may be just what you need.
