After a discussion earlier today in the 'Member's Introduction' section of the site, it was suggested that symptoms in women generally worsen at 'the time of the month'. This peaked my curiosity and I think it would be interesting to find out if many other women suffered more severely when they were pre-menstrual or when they were having their time of the month! Please vote, and all discussion is encouraged below

Yes I too suffer terribly before and through my time of the month. As my IIH trigger is horrnonal, it makes for a very rough time, which is why at the moment I am on the waiting list for endometrial ablation, which will finally put an end to this. I'll let you know if it helps.

My symptoms definitely worsen just before my time of the month and during.

Yes, definitely ... in fact, sometimes now I will become aware that my cycle is on its way just by the change in my IH symptoms, rather than by typical PMS-type symptoms. If that makes any sense. Good poll topic!

Lol! I am so glad you can see the humour in these situations It is seeing inspiring people like yourselves on this site with such a positive attitude which is making my experience with IIH much more bearable. Unfortunately though, I have to agree with Ally and BananasMom, I can usually tell when it is my time of the month by my worsening IIH symptoms! It is nice to read everyone's responses and see a common thread. Unfortunately I don't think that there is anything we can do about it, but it is great to know we are not alone Lol If anyone does have any advice on ways to help lessen the pain during periods, I would love to hear those too! Lol! x
