well i have had my shunt for just over a month now and i have had a lump for about 2 weeks whent for scan today and as i epected the shunt has coiled, and due to how much fluid has gone into my tummy the fluid has began to fill the sunt, hence why my vision is going again.

i feel so defeated i have waited 10 yrs for this shunt as it was supposed to give me back my life
over 40 LPs
blood patches
and a shunt op
AND STILL AT SQUARE 1

just feel like i have lost the fight i have never let my IH affect my strength i have always tried not to let it change me but i honestly just feel beaten i feel like i am fighting a loosing battle

Sammy, just remember that there is always hope. You felt better for a bit, and it can happen again. You are going through a minor set back. Hang in there. You'll win this battle yet.

I'm sorry you're still struggling! They were able to identify the problem and a revision isn't anything compared to the shunt surgery. My catheter coiled up on me at one point and I had the worst headaches ever! Fortunately, it was a quick out-patient fix..I hope they're able to do the same for you. Surgery sucks, but remember how good you felt after the shunt placement..it's totally worth it!!!

Hang in there
