Diamox and Kidney
Kidney stones are caused by a build-up of dissolved minerals on the inner lining of the kidneys. They can grow to the size of a golf ball but can have a sharp, crystal structure. Sometimes they can be so small that they can pass through without being noticed, but can also cause severe pain when exiting. The ones that aren't passed can cause a blockage that stops urine being able pass through, as well as causing extreme discomfort.

The signs of a kidney stone are:

  • Severe pain in the groin and/or side
  • Blood in urine
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • White blood cells or pus in the urine
  • Reduced amount of excreted urine excreted
  • Burning sensation during urination
  • Persistent urge to urinate
  • Fever and chills if there is an infection
